My dad definitely inspired me to become a lawyer. My initial influence was my mom. She always encouraged and supported me in pursuing a career in law because I showed an interest early on. Later in life, I was influenced by two faculty mentors in undergrad. I'm interested in the legal industry because, in nearly all senses, law dictates the ways in which we live our lives. It is all encompassing but is not necessarily straightforward either - there are so many aspects to consider when dealing with any case, and an attorney's job is to maneuver that complex process and produce a desirable outcome. I think the entire process is so interesting because it's not always the same (even within the same field, the cases that are taken on can vary greatly). It's exciting to think ...
