Drew Eckl & Farnham welcomed Austin Albertson as one of our 2021 summer associates. Read below as we get to know more about Austin. What/Who inspired you to become a lawyer? My dad definitely inspired me to become a lawyer. Growing up in a small, rural town with a dad who liked to talk about everything exposed me to so much and gave me a healthy curiosity and desire to problem solve. I grew up with a healthy chip on my shoulder for the little guy because of my background, and it's something I wouldn't trade. Oh, and a scholarship. What are some activities you enjoy doing when you are not studying or working? I grew up in the mountains, so I love to go hiking ... Continue Reading

There are many influences that shaped my decision to become a lawyer. Some of my early thoughts were perhaps a bit romanticized given what I had seen on TV and movies. However, I am ultimately inspired by the opportunity to help people resolve problems and the chance to help make the law more free and just in the process, however small my individual contribution might be. Summer Highlight: Meet Ajay Nathan
This summer, Drew Eckl & Farnham welcomed incoming college student Ajay Nathan as a law clerk intern. Why are you interested in the legal industry? I'm interested in the legal industry because, in nearly all senses, law dictates the ways in which we live our lives. It is all encompassing but is not necessarily straightforward either - there are so many aspects to consider when dealing with any case, and an attorney's job is to maneuver that complex process and produce a desirable outcome. I think the entire process is so interesting because it's not always the same (even within the same field, the cases that are taken on can vary greatly). It's exciting to think ... Continue Reading
