Of Counsel with Drew Eckl & Farnham, Ingrid Nuss is a highly experienced litigation attorney with more than 20 years of experience. While her primary focus has been on Workers’ Compensation, Ingrid also has significant experience in personal injury and liability insurance defense, handling auto, trucking, shipping, and product liability claims and tried numerous cases in State, Superior, Federal and Admiralty courts.
During the 20 years in which she has focused her practice on Workers’ Compensation, she has represented both Claimants and Defendants and also served as a Mediator. This versatile background gives her perspective which gives her a unique perspective on claim evaluation, litigation strategy, and case resolution.
Ingrid is known for her meticulous approach to complex claims, thorough investigations, and ability to develop persuasive defense strategies that achieve practical results for employers and insurers. Ingrid particularly enjoys the fast-paced nature of workers’ compensation practice and the intersection of legal and medical issues that accompany complex claims. She thrives on uncovering critical evidence, connecting the pieces, and crafting compelling arguments on behalf of her clients.
An AV-rated attorney, Ingrid has successfully tried numerous Workers’ Compensation Claims and excels at trial advocacy. Ingrid earned her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law where she was a member of the Mock Trial Team and received honors related to Emory’s Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques. During law school she became a certified Mediator and mediated innumerable Fulton County State and Magistrate Court claims.
She earned a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Tech where she majored in Architecture and obtained a minor in Japanese. She is admitted to practice in Georgia and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Workers’ Compensation Section.
Originally from the rural mountains of western Pennsylvania, Ingrid has lived and studied abroad, teaching English in Japan and studying law and architecture at the University of Macerata in Italy. Outside of work, Ingrid enjoys spending time with her husband and their three crazy dogs, reading, and world travel.
