Katelyn Fischer
Katelyn Fischer practices in the area of civil litigation defense with an emphasis on First Party Property Insurance Defense. She collaborates with clients in the investigation and adjustment of property claims and defends insurers in coverage, bad faith, arson, fraud, and property damage matters. Ms. Fischer worked as a summer associate for Drew Eckl & Farnham, LLP in 2017 and joined the firm as a full-time associate in 2018. While in law school, she was an active member of the Mercer Law Review and served on the Editorial Board during her final year.
S. Monique Clark
S. Monique Clark is an associate in the Atlanta office and focuses her practice on litigation representing employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters. Ms. Clark worked as a summer associate for Drew, Eckl & Farnham, LLP in 2017 and joined the firm as a full-time associate in the fall of 2018. Before joining Drew, Eckl & Farham, LLP, Monique gained experience as a summer associate with a large labor & employment firm in Atlanta. She also interned in the legal department for The Coca-Cola Company. While in law school, Monique competed in the Tulane Mardi Gras Sports Law Moot Court Competition and was an active member of the Moot Court Society. She was recognized as Top Oralist in her law school class.
Shayla J. Bivins
Shayla J. Bivins is an associate in the Atlanta office and focuses her practice on civil and commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Shayla worked as a summer associate for Drew Eckl & Farnham and joined the firm as a full-time associate in fall 2018. While in law school, Shayla interned for the Honorable Richard W. Story in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia as well as the City of Atlanta Department of Law. Additionally, Shayla gained litigation experience as a student attorney in the Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation clinic. In this role, Shayla represented survivors of child sexual abuse in juvenile court dependency matters and civil tort litigation. Shayla was also inducted into the Orr Inn of Court and she served as the President of the Davenport-Benham Black Law Student Association.
Amanda L. Myers
Amanda L. Myers primarily defends employers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation claims. Amanda actively assists clients for the best possible resolution of cases, from the initial investigation of the claim throughout the litigation process. Prior to joining Drew Eckl & Farnham, Amanda practiced workers’ compensation defense for 6 years in Mississippi, where she gained invaluable experience for the defense of Employers and Insurers. Amanda has also presented seminars on workers’ compensation law to various companies and insurers throughout the southeast for the previous six years. Amanda stays abreast of recent developments in legislation in order to position her clients for the best possible defense. Amanda was honored to serve as a Panelist for the Jackson Women in Leadership Symposium held in Jackson, Mississippi in March 2017.
David L. Rusnak
David L. Rusnak focuses his practice on state and federal litigation, risk management, and alternative dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration). Since 1984, Mr. Rusnak has represented local, regional and national clients in commercial, financial, real estate and construction matters, guiding and representing developers, building owners, lenders, landlords and tenants, contractors, engineers and vendors, as well as other commercial concerns and interests, through all phases of complex and common state and federal litigation, appeals and alternative dispute resolution procedures, as well as pre-litigation dispute resolution, work outs, claims avoidance, and contract negotiation (of construction-related agreements).
Caryn Dreibelbis
Caryn Dreibelbis’ practice focuses on Workers’ Compensation defense. Caryn utilizes her attention to detail and commitment to excellence to achieve the best possible resolution of cases for her clients. Prior to joining Drew Eckl & Farnham, LLP Caryn practiced insurance defense litigation. In law school, Caryn competed in the Robert F. Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court, the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court, and the ABA’s Negotiation Competition. Her participation in Moot Court and Negotiations provided her a strong foundation in all phases of litigation and created a standard of professionalism to build upon in practice.
