Matt Walker practices Workers’ Compensation law, serving national and regional clients with a Georgia presence. He has extensive experience litigating cases for clients in various industries, including automotive, health care, telecommunications, food & beverage, manufacturing, and trucking & transportation.
Over the past two decades, Matt has taken and defended hundreds of depositions, including those of expert witnesses such as physicians and vocational experts. He has defended his clients at hearings and in appellate proceedings at the State Board of Workers’ Compensation, superior courts, and the Georgia Court of Appeals. Matt is proficient in managing complex and high-exposure workers’ compensation claims involving technical and obscure medical issues.
In addition to his extensive legal experience, Matt is active in the Workers’ Compensation community and routinely presents on a wide range of topics related to workers’ compensation law at seminars throughout the state. In 2012, he co-drafted an Amicus Brief to the Supreme Court of Georgia on behalf of the Georgia Self-Insurer’s Association, Georgia Manufacturer’s Association, and the Georgia Poultry Federation. Since 2024, Matt has been a member of the State Board of Workers’ Compensation Chairman’s Advisory Council.
