Carol is an attorney with twenty years experience in workers’ compensation, practicing at medium to large defense firms in Atlanta before spending almost a decade as a solo practitioner. Her current practice encompasses representing employers, insurers and third party administrators in the defense of workers’ compensation claims throughout Georgia.
Carol has extensive experience litigating workers compensation cases, having taken and defended hundreds of depositions, also successfully negotiating settlement of a multitude of cases, both directly with opposing counsel and via mediation. She has tried cases before the State Board of Workers’ Compensation and has argued before the State Board of Workers’ Compensation Appellate Division.
Since joining the firm Carol has become a member of the firm’s Association of Women Lawyers. She is also a graduate of the 2015 class of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers Leadership Academy and has been active in the organization over the years, serving on a variety of committees.
Carol is a Registered Nurse and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, spending her nursing career as a surgical/oncology nurse, a pediatric intensive care nurse, and as a Nurse Practitioner in the nursery of a large metropolitan hospital.
Carol has a passion for volunteer work and has served a variety of organizations, including the Church Health Center of Memphis, Habitat for Humanity, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She has also served as a member of the City of Dunwoody’s Urban Redevelopment Agency.
