Bryant Speed has practiced law for over 36 years. A proud native of Alabama, he began his legal career there as a prosecutor in the Attorney Generals Office and then moved to the District Attorneys Office in Birmingham, where he prosecuted hundreds of jury trials for crimes ranging from DUIs to capital murder. He moved to Georgia in 1995 and has worked as a prosecutor, and served a term as the District Attorney of the Rome Judicial Circuit. He has also worked in private practice where he specializes in workers compensation law, and has represented parties before the State Board of Workers Compensation for most of the last 25 years. He has tried numerous cases across the state, and has argued many cases before the Appellate Division, as well.
Bryant has lectured at many seminars on various aspects of workers compensation law and has conducted training sessions for many of his employer clients to assist them with teaching employees the basics of workers compensation procedures. He has also been involved in various civic organizations and served in leadership roles in bar associations and other service organizations. Since 2024, he was selected by his peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America© in the field of Workers’ Compensation Law – Employers in Atlanta.
