
Steve Miller has been a trial lawyer in Georgia since 1977. Steve’s practice focuses on the defense of cases involving catastrophic injury in state and federal court. He has a broad range of trial experience and has tried jury verdict cases involving product liability claims, trucking, premises, and professional negligence. His practice is also devoted to advising clients on insurance coverage issues, including the prosecution and defense of declaratory judgment actions.
Over the years Steve has been a frequent speaker on legal subjects, presenting numerous legal papers in connection with these presentations. He is Co-Author of “The Absolute Pollution Exclusion in General Liability Insurance Policies” in the Reference Handbook on the Comprehensive General Liability Policy published by the American Bar Association (“ABA”). He is a Past Chair of the Products, General Liability and Consumer Law Committee of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section of the ABA and a Past Chair of the Education Committee of the Atlanta Claims Association. Steve has been acknowledged as a Georgia Super Lawyer and has received an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale Hubbell for his high ethical standards and professionalism. He is currently an Instructor at Georgia State University Law School teaching litigation. In 2018, he was selected by his peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America © 25th edition in the field of Insurance Law in Atlanta.
Steve was selected to Georgia Super Lawyers in 2020 and 2021.
