Drew Eckl & Farnham is excited to welcome Tommy Coleman and Flin Coleman to the firm. Tommy will join us as a Partner, and Flin will be Of Counsel. Both attorneys join DEF’s Albany office from Perry & Walters, LLP.
Tommy and Flin bring with them their long-time legal assistant Lisa Nutt.
Flin Coleman’s practice specializes in local government including litigations related to zoning, land use, environmental code enforcement, and personnel matters. Flin regularly represents counties, municipalities, school districts and other government authorities.
Currently, Flin serves as City Solicitor for a number of local municipalities in Southwest Georgia. He is responsible for prosecuting traffic and city ordinance violations for these communities. Formerly, Flin was an Assistant District Attorney in the Dougherty Judicial Circuit.
Tommy Coleman’s practice covers local government, in particular, litigations related to municipalities, public finance, election law, zoning and land use planning. With a background in local government and finance, Tommy has built a distinguished list of clients including many cities, counties, school boards and regional solid waste management authorities.
Tommy entered the legal arena following an extensive career as a public servant. He served four terms as Mayor of the City of Albany and four years as a City Commissioner of the City of Albany. In addition, he is a graduate of Leadership Georgia and in 1992 was named “100 Most Influential Georgians” by Georgia Trend Magazine.
