Robert C. Watts is Of Counsel in the firm’s Atlanta office, where he focuses his practice on civil litigation and trial advocacy, with an emphasis on general liability, premises liability, transportation, and insurance defense matters. He represents major insurance carriers and insureds in complex litigation, drawing on extensive courtroom experience developed over a diverse legal career.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Watts spent the first half of his career in courtrooms as both a prosecutor and a public defender, experiences that shaped his core strength in trial advocacy and courtroom strategy. His practice is rooted in practical litigation skills, credibility before judges and juries, and a deep understanding of how cases are won—or resolved—at the trial level.
Mr. Watts earned his undergraduate degrees from Birmingham‑Southern College and his Juris Doctor from Washington & Lee University School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia.
