Joe Spivey is a Senior Associate at Drew Eckl & Farnham, where his practice focuses on general liability defense. He represents clients in a broad range of matters, including premises liability, negligent security, personal injury, and medical malpractice claims. Joe is known for his practical approach to litigation and his commitment to achieving efficient, results-driven outcomes for his clients.
Prior to joining Drew Eckl & Farnham, Joe represented insurers and employers in workers’ compensation matters, gaining valuable experience in complex claims management and defense strategy. During law school, he served as a student attorney with the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic, where he developed strong analytical and advocacy skills while working on regulatory and environmental matters.
Joe earned his Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University and his Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School. While at Tulane, he was a winner of the 1L Moot Court Appellate Competition. He is also the recipient of the Avery Leiserson Award for Best Undergraduate Political Science Research Paper at Vanderbilt University.
Joe is admitted to practice in Georgia and is a member of the Georgia Bar Association. He has authored scholarly work, including an article published in the Tulane Environmental Law Journal. Outside of his legal practice, Joe enjoys golfing, fly fishing, and cooking.
