Bonnie has been an active member of the Georgia Bar since 1994 and has represented individuals, businesses, and local governments in a variety of civil matters throughout her career. In addition, she served as a clinical professor at Georgia State University College of Law and as a legislator in the Georgia House of Representatives, where she also served as Majority Caucus Chair and Chair of the Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment and Redistricting Committee. She has served on the Boards for nonprofit organizations that provide education to children with disabilities, tax law assistance to low-income Georgians, and animal rescue.
Martindale Hubbell awarded Bonnie the AV-preeminent rating, which is given to attorneys whose peers rank them at the highest level of excellence for their legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards.
Bonnie has been married since 1999 to Randy Rich, an attorney and mediator and former Superior Court Judge. Bonnie and Randy have two rescue dogs and two young adult children who currently attend college at one of their shared alma maters, the University of Georgia. Bonnie and Randy enjoy spending their leisure time cheering on the Dawgs in Athens and with family and friends on St. Simons Island, Lake Lanier, and the mountains of Murphy, North Carolina.
