William Pate's practice is in civil litigation defense and primarily focuses on general liability and insurance litigation, tranportation/trucking law, personal injury, products liability and commercial litigation. He represents individuals, corporations, and insurance companies in the state and federal courts. 

Prior to joining DEF, he was an Associate General Counsel at Mansfield Energy Corporation in Gainesville, Georgia. After, he was a project attorney for two national law firms in Atlanta, Georgia. While in law school, he worked as a summer intern for U.S. District Judge Madeline Haikala and as a summer clerk for Pittman, Dutton & Hellums.

When he's not working, he enjoys playing tennis, golf, and hunting. He is a proud member of the Atlanta Tennis Lawn Association.
