Sonya Jacobs’ practice focuses on corporate compliance and transactional matters, estate and succession planning for families and closely-held business, and general business dispute resolution. Her practice combines traditional general counsel advice and services with transactional and litigation support. She frequently serves as outside general counsel for privately held companies and non-profit organizations, assisting them with developing corporate policies and procedures, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, providing pre and post-acquisition due diligence support, litigating contract and general liability claims, and structuring business succession plans. Additionally, she advises clients in the areas of complex estate planning, asset protection planning, and estate probate and administration.

Prior to joining Drew Eckl & Farnham, Sonya served for seven years as Associate General Counsel for Entaire Global Companies, Inc., an Atlanta based specialty financial services company. In addition to counseling Entaire and its subsidiaries on general corporate and compliance matters, Sonya provided legal advice and support to the company on litigation matters throughout the United States.
