Janeen Smith is a civil litigation attorney whose practice focuses on general liability, commercial litigation, and transportation law. She serves a wide variety of clients including: large retail organizations, franchises, trucking companies, and individuals. From the initial complaint, Janeen assists clients with an eye toward cost-effective solutions by positioning cases for dismissal on summary judgment and through strategic pre-litigation settlement negotiations. Janeen approaches litigation with a “client-first” mentality, and prides herself on addressing the specific needs of each client.
Janeen graduated from Emory University School of Law where she was active in Emory’s Moot Court program. The American College of Trial Lawyers awarded Janeen a Medal for Excellence in Advocacy for her participation in the National Moot Court Competition. She was an Emory University Graduating Woman of Excellence, and Janeen was also named to the Order of Barristers, a national organization for law school oral advocacy.
Janeen is an member of the Association of Women Lawyers at her firm and currently serves on her law firm’s social committee. In her spare time, Janeen is an active member of the Atlanta running community.
