Prior to beginning his legal career, Ben served as a homicide and violent crimes investigator with a metro-Atlanta Sheriff's Office. Following a 10-year law enforcement career, Ben decided to go into the practice of law. While working at the Sheriff's Office, he graduated cum laude from Kennesaw State University and went on to attend Emoriy University School of Law.
Out of law school, Ben worked as an Assistant District Attorney in metro-Atlanta, where he gained invaluable trial skills prosecuting felony crimes. After serving as an Assistant District Attorney, Ben went into private practice, focusing on criminal defense in the Marietta, Georgia area. While working as a criminal defense attorney, Ben was presented with an opportunity to begin representing employers, insurers and third-party administrators in workers' compensation disputes, as well as representing insurers and individuals in coverage, automobile liability, premises liability and general liability disputes with a mid-size Atlanta defense firm.
Ben is now proud to use the knowledge and skills he has obtained to assist Drew, Eckl & Farnham's diverse clientele. Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, fishing, off-roading, visiting small breweries and watching Braves baseball and UGA football.
