On October 13-16, 2021, DRI hosted its annual meeting in Boston, Massachusetts. The meeting consisted of dedicated networking time, keynote speakers, live workshops, and the inauguration of partner Douglas Burrell as 2021-22 DRI President.
Partner Taylor Poncz was one of three speakers for a workshop titled “The New Age: Mastering Social Media in the 21st Century.” The workshop discussed the impact social media has had on self-marketing and firm marketing and how the legal industry can capitalize on its influence to increase exposure and networking opportunities.
Partner Melody Kiella, alongside Roy D. Prather, III of Beveridge & Diamond PC, presented a podcast workshop, educating lawyers and law firms on how podcasts can be used to market their areas of expertise and on how to create a successful podcast.
The Mother Board podcast also hosted an episode with special guest Lori Johnson, main female news anchor at WMAZ-TV in Macon, Georgia, and the wife of Douglas Burrell.
