Now, More than Ever, DRI Membership: It's Personal
"Now, More than Ever, DRI Membership: It's Personal", by Attorney Douglas Burrell was published in the April edition of DRI The Voice. While COVID-19 has invaded everyone's lives and several DRI conferences and seminars have been canceled, DRI is continuing to provide their members with what they need to thrive in their practices and careers. Douglas stresses the significance of DRI membership by discussing all that the DRI leaders are doing during this time to ensure that their members are taken care of.
"DRI leadership is meeting a minimum of once a week with one primary goal in mind, what can DRI do to help its members with what is needed now to keep their practices and livelihoods going. Why? Because our members need help, information, and support! But DRI’s help doesn’t begin and end with DRI leadership. Our members are stepping up with ideas and suggestions about how to help their fellow members."
Douglas Burrell believes that his primary focus is to be a strategic partner with his clients. It is important that he understands his client's business, the people, the problems faced, and budgetary constraints that can impact the client's ability to resolve problems. Douglas has been a practicing trial lawyer for over 24 years. He developed comprehensive experience while serving as first chair on more than 40 jury trials and more than 100 bench trials. He has also taken and defended hundreds of depositions.
