Partner Douglas K. Burrell Named 1st Vice President of DRI

Congratulations to Partner Douglas Burrell who was named 1st Vice President of DRI ‐ The Voice of the Defense Bar at the organization’s 2019 annual meeting in New Orleans. Douglas has been an active member of DRI since 2006, serving in various leadership positions including holding the positions of Secretary-Treasurer, National Director and Chair of the Diversity Steering Committee.

Douglas Burrell believes that his primary focus is to be a strategic partner with his clients. It is important that he understands his client's business, the people, the problems faced, and budgetary constraints that can impact the client's ability to resolve problems. Douglas’ practice consists of civil defense litigation with an emphasis on wrongful death and catastrophic injury, construction law, premises liability, transportation and trucking law and product liability. He has been a practicing trial lawyer for over 24 years. He developed comprehensive experience while serving as first chair on more than 40 jury trials and more than 100 bench trials.
