DEF Spotlight: Kayla Chen
As we continue our celebration of Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month, we center our focus on our talented Asian American and Pacific Islander attorneys.
Kayla is a proud Taiwanese-American who joined us as a summer associate in 2016, Kayla Chen earned her place as a full-time associate in 2017. Not only does Kayla focus her practice on Workers' Compensation defense, she also volunteers at a non-profit summer camp as Board Vice-President and Director of Campers in Leadership Training. Having a passion for leadership, community service and building relationships, makes us proud to have Kayla as part of the Drew Eckl & Farnham team.
Kayla Chen focuses her practice on Workers' Compensation defense. She has worked as a summer associate for Drew Eckl & Farnham, LLP in 2016 and joined the firm as a full-time associate in 2017. One of her most notable projects at Mercer University Law School, was her work with the Habeas Project clinic under the Student Practice Act where she gained experience writing a petition for certiorari to the Supreme Court of the United States and had a case heard before the Georgia Supreme Court. Other worthy mentions include her clerkship for the Senior Citizens Law Project at Atlanta Legal Aid, and competition in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
