Partners Douglas Burrell and J.C. Roper, Jr., and Chief Operating Officer Christy Walsh were interviewed for this article. Burrell and Roper are members of the Diversity & Inclusion committee, and were able to speak to the firm’s Path2Partnership and 1L Diversity Fellowship programs.

Douglas Burrell believes that his primary focus is to be a strategic partner with his clients. It is important that he understands his client's business, the people, the problems faced, and budgetary constraints that can impact the client's ability to resolve problems. Douglas has been a practicing trial lawyer for over 26 years. He developed comprehensive experience while serving as first chair on more than 40 jury trials and more than 100 bench trials. He has also taken and defended hundreds of depositions.
