Cody is an Associate focusing on General Liability practice. He is eager to provide effective and efficient support to a wide range of clients.
In law school, Cody was particularly active in hands-on externship opportunities. He spent a semester as a Legal Extern to the Georgia State Senate Democratic Caucus. Additionally, he was a Judicial Extern for Judge Kimberly M. Esmond Adams at the Fulton County Superior Court as well as a Judicial Extern for Justice Charles Bethel at the Supreme Court of Georgia. As a result of these experiences, he has seen a whole range of cases and their dispositions, helping him get a head start on understanding which case strategies and approaches are persuasive and which aren’t.
Cody was also a Staff Member and Managing Editor for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal at Emory Law. His journal article titled “Non-Uniformity is the New Uniformity: Inconsistent Quarterly Fees and Why the Bankruptcy Administrator System Must Go,” critiquing a long-standing structural aspect of bankruptcy practice, was published in the journal’s 40th Volume. Additionally, Cody was a pupil of the Judge Clarence Cooper American Inn of Court.
In his free time, Cody enjoys playing tennis and pickleball and is looking to add golf to his arsenal of sports.
