Matthew Jones joined the firm in 2011 after
clerking with the us for two years. His practice is focused in Civil Litigation Defense with an emphasis in General Casualty Law, Professional Malpractice and Healthcare Litigation. He has gained extensive experience working with health care providers, nursing homes, physicians, and nationally recognized companies, ranging in size from small businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. In addition, he has a strong background in products liability, catastrophic injury claims and premises liability cases.
He has participated in numerous depositions and hearings, tried several bench trials and continues to develop in-depth experience in promptly evaluating and resolving claims.
Mr. Jones has researched and co-authored a number of papers and speeches for CLE presentations throughout Georgia on such topics as tort litigation, the use of expert witnesses, defense trial tactics, and evidentiary issues.
Mr. Jones is currently the Committee Chair (2012-2014) for the William W. Daniel National Mock Trial Competition hosted by the State Bar of Georgia, Young Lawyer's Division and serves as a coach for the Georgia State College of Law mock trial team. While in law school, Mr. Jones was a member of the Law Review, Student Trial Lawyer's Association, Moot Court Board and Logan E. Bleckley Inn of Court.
