Leslie P. Becknell if Of Counsel in the Atlanta office of Drew, Eckl & Farnham. She was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1989. Ms. Becknell graduated from Salem College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Philosophy. In 1989 Ms. Becknell received her Juris Doctor degree from Georgia State University, College of Law. While in law school she was a member of the 1989 State Champion Mock Trial Team and studied International and Comparative Law at St. Edmund's Hall in Oxford, England.
Ms. Becknell began her practice of law in Insurance Defense in 1989 with an Atlanta law firm.. Ms. Becknell specializes in civil tort litigation and represents corporations and insurers in state and federal courts. Her practice includes an emphasis on premises liability, trucking law, and products liability. Ms. Becknell has handled various cases involving environmental torts, real estate disputes, insurance coverage issues and toxic tort litigation. In addition Ms. Becknell has provided counsel to various individuals and corporations in the Equine Industry on Contract negotiation and Equine Activity Liability law. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and its sections on Tort and Insurance Law, Product Liability Law and Equine Law as well as the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association.
