Mike Bagley is the past Chair of our Board of Directors. He practices in the areas of workers' compensation and property insurance. A graduate of Emory University, he received his law degree from the University of Georgia. He has tried hundreds of cases in virtually every county in Georgia. Mr. Bagley is a frequent lecturer and prolific author. He has co-authored seven editions of the Chamber of Commerce Desk Reference Manual and is a contributing author to Insuring Real Property. For over 20 years, Mr. Bagley has been a contributing author to the Mercer Law Review Annual Survey of Georgia Law, and he has edited all 125 plus editions of the DEF JOURNAL since its inception in 1988. He has held numerous positions in the Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association, including Chair of the Property Insurance Committee, chair of the Annual Meeting Arrangements Committee, National Programs and the Public Relations Commission. He also served as Chair of the Task Force on Lawyer Advertising, chair of the Formal Advisory Opinion Board of the State Bar of Georgia and Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. Mr. Bagley was honored by James Magazine as one of the top 150 lawyers in Georgia and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer every year since the inception of that honor.
