Gary Hurst has been practicing in Workers' Compensation law for more than 30 years. His focus is in litigation and he represents insurers and self-insurers before the Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation, as well as in state courts. He has significant experience representing governments and municipalities, Boards of Education, construction companies and contractors, the automotive industry, and manufacturers.
He had taken and defended hundreds of depositions including expert witness statements. In addition, he has handled numerous complex cases involving subrogation within Workers’ Compensation claims.
He is a frequent lecturer on Workers' Compensation topics and has presented to audiences at the Georgia State Bar Association-sponsored seminars.
Since 2009, Mr. Hurst has served on the firm’s Board of Directors and has served as co-chair of the Diversity Committee since its inception.
In the fall of 2010, Mr. Hurst was honored as a founder and patron of the DeKalb Lawyers Association at the Association’s 25th Anniversary event.
