Hall McKinley is a Partner in the Atlanta office of DREW, ECKL & FARNHAM, LLP. He has practiced with Drew, Eckl & Farnham for 28 years, has served as managing partner and on the Firm’s Board of Directors. He is a graduate of Princeton University and received his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Georgia School of Law. Mr. McKinley specializes in civil tort litigation and represents corporations and insurance companies in state and federal courts. His practice includes an emphasis on transportation and trucking law, premises liability, product liability, mass tort litigation, and professional malpractice. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association, International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, Georgia Defense Lawyers Association and Trucking Industry Defense Association. He is past Chair of the Commercial Transportation Litigation Committee of the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association, and previously served as Chair of the Self-Insurers and Risk Managers Committee. He currently serves on the Continuing Legal Education Board of TIPS and the Board of Directors of the Georgia Defense Lawyers' Association. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute’s Trucking Law Committee and the Harmonie Group Trucking Law Committee. He is a frequent lecturer on trucking litigation and insurance topics and has spoken at American Bar Association National Programs in Atlanta, New York, and New Orleans, and the 2003 TIDA Conference in Denver. He was a contributing author to “Truck Accident Litigation and Insurance,” published by the American Bar Association Section of Tort and Insurance Practice, and has been Program Chair of all nine Transportation Mega Conferences held in New Orleans between 1993 and 2009. He is co-author of “Issues in the Selection of Counsel and Control of Litigation When the Insured has a Self-Retention.” 32 Tort & Insurance Law Journal 769 (1997). He also currently serves on the boards of the Georgia Tennis Foundation and Marist School Alumni Assocation.
