Abdi Ammari is a senior associate at Drew, Eckl & Farnham, LLP. He is a graduate of Georgia State University and received his Juris Doctor degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in 1997. Mr. Ammari specializes in civil tort litigation and represents individuals, corporations, and insurance companies in state and federal courts. His practice includes an emphasis on general liability and insurance litigation, transportation/trucking law, construction, products liability and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Drew, Eckl & Farnham, Mr. Ammari served as in-house counsel to a privately held, Atlanta-based company with over 400 employees and with subsidiaries in Illinois, Montreal, Canada and the U.K. In that capacity, Mr. Ammari provided legal and business counsel to the company’s executive team, identifying and addressing compliance issues, and represented the company in contract negotiations with large retailers, manufacturers, and telecommunications clients. Additionally, Mr. Ammari handled commercial and business litigation matters - including management of outside counsel - as well as employment and intellectual property issues involving trademarks and copyrights on behalf of the company. Having served in this key management role, Mr. Ammari understands first-hand the challenges faced by corporate counsel and executives and is fully adept at addressing and efficiently managing those challenges on behalf of corporate clients. In 2009, Mr. Ammari was selected as a Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star by Atlanta Magazine, an honor provided to only 2.5% of the lawyers in Georgia. Mr. Ammari is a member of the American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Georgia Defense Lawyers Association and the Georgia Bar Association.
